Toyota of Rockwall staff select two area charities to receive Christmas donation checks

ROCKWALL, TX – December 16, 2020 — Toyota of Rockwall presented Christmas gifts in the form of two $2,500 donations to The Salvation Army of North Texas and LightHouse for New Hope charities this afternoon.

This year, Toyota of Rockwall selected four area charities and gave its staff the opportunity to read about the missions of the charities, then vote for the one they wanted to receive the Christmas donation from the dealership. When the results came in, they had two winners in The Salvation Army and LightHouse for New Hope.

Toyota of Rockwall co-owner Barbara Jackson said it was a big blessing to be able to give back to a couple of local charities who have made such a positive impact on the lives of those less fortunate — especially with the challenges brought about this year by the pandemic.

“We’ve always had such a great relationship with The Salvation Army, and this donation also allowed us to forge a new relationship with the LightHouse for New Hope,” Jackson said. “The pandemic has brought about all kinds of opportunities for New Hope to aid those it serves, but it has also brought about more needs for their ministry. I’m so excited to forge this new relationship with New Hope, and it’s all because of our great team here at Toyota who identified those needs.”
