Rockwall resident Amy Johannesen announces run for Place 2 on Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees

ROCKWALL, TX – February 9, 2021 — Rockwall resident Amy Johannesen announces she will run for Place 2 on the Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees in the upcoming May election.

“Rockwall is an exceptional place to raise a family and our school district is one of the things that makes our community so attractive,” Amy said. “Having raised very active children in this district, I’ve had a front-row seat to the pride with which our school board leads and I intend to continue that legacy with integrity and fresh perspective.”

Amy is a former COO and owned a Rockwall County small-business for 16 years. She currently coaches entrepreneurs and intends to utilize her business background and organizational experience to facilitate growth and progress in RISD. She is an active member of Rockwall County Republican Women, as well as Rockwall Women’s League. She has volunteered with the Stingerettes booster club, as well as served as an officer with RHS choir booster club the past five years.

Amy lives in North Rockwall with her husband Trace and five children: Kassidy, graduate of RHS currently attending OU; Joshua, RHS senior; Cash, 2nd grade; and 28-month-old twins Roman and Caroline.

The Board of Trustees election takes place on May 1, 2021. Early voting by personal appearance will beginning April 19, 2021 and will continue through April 27, 2021.
