ROCKWALL, TX – March 17, 2021 — The Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees approved maintaining the Texas Education Agency safety requirement of student, teacher, and staff mask-wearing for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year.
District leadership presented information related to on-going changes from the Texas Education Agency concerning COVID mitigation. In addition, Student Services staff responsible for the COVID safety response presented a recommendation from local health authorities, teacher and staff survey results, challenges related to social distancing for in-person students for the remaining 11 weeks of school, quarantine and close contact procedures, and staff and employee vaccination process update.
