Royse City’s Celebrating Freedom – Saturday, June 26

WHAT: Live music lineup featuring Brandon Bamburg (6-6:45PM), Big Gus & Swampadelic (7-8PM) and headliner Wade Bowen (8:15-9:30PM); Food trucks available from 6-9:30PM; Prayer, flags and National Anthem from 9:45-10PM; Fireworks show beginning approximately at 10PM; Masks are encouraged but not required

Wylie Jubilee – Bluegrass on Ballard – Saturday, June 26

WHAT: A fun festival for the whole family featuring top Bluegrass bands, a 200+ car show, 100+ arts and crafts, yummy fair food and kids’ activities; Visit www.wylietexas.org for band schedule / more info

Market Street Allen USA Celebration – Saturday, June 26

WHAT: Family-fun celebration featuring live music on two stages, military vehicles on display, pop-up performances, antique vehicles and muscle car show, kid zone, VIP party zone, ninja challenge, football combine challenge, games and more; One of North Texas’s largest fireworks shows caps off the evening

WHEN: Saturday, June 26 from 7-10PM

Rockwall Independence Day Parade & Fireworks Show – Saturday, July 3

WHAT: Annual Independence Day celebration featuring a parade in the morning and patriotic festivities in the evening at Harry Myers Park; festivities include a parachute jump, live music on the grand stage in front of Pickens Lake, and a fireworks show; Those interested in entering a float in the parade must fill out the application HERE by June 25th

WHEN: Saturday, July 3 at 11AM; Evening festivities begin at 7PM

WHERE: Parade will start at Utley Middle School and go north on TL Townsend Dr., left on Boydstun Ave, right on Fannin St., and will end with a right turn on Rusk St. at Dobbs Elementary School; Evening festivities and fireworks show at Harry Myers Park

PRICE: Free. Fireworks parking is $5 cash across the street from Harry Myers park, benefiting Rockwall Breakfast Rotary club.

Nijee Cooper, our Blue Ribbon News team videographer and media guy, had the opportunity to take flight aboard this vintage WWII Navy R4D-6S airplane flown by the Dallas-Fort Worth wing of the Commemorative Air Force, on its way to a flyover at Harry Myers Park in Rockwall a couple years ago. The flyover will take place again this year at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 3rd, followed by a parachute demonstration at approximately 7:30 p.m. before the fireworks display at dusk. The Terry Fisher American Legion Post 117 will narrate the demonstration as the jump team enters the park.

Heath Independence Day Parade – Saturday, July 3

UPDATE from the City of Heath, 6/28/2021:

BECAUSE WE SEE STORM CLOUDS IN THE FORECAST: The City follows the RISD policy due to so many students involved: which is a 30-minute delay after each lightning strike. We can only delay the parade up to 10 a.m. Updates will be posted on City Twitter/Facebook/Website if necessary. (Fingers crossed this will not be necessary!)

WHAT: A beloved July 4th tradition featuring a parade with floats, bicycles, wagons & strollers, golf carts & off-road vehicles, antique cars and patriotic pets; a patriotic program in Towne Center Park immediately following the parade; live music, parade float awards, and free pie and popsicles; Community veterans are invited to ride on the city’s Veterans Float in the parade; Heath patriotic t-shirts, spirit visors and hats are available for purchase, click HERE to order by June 13th to receive in time for the event; To enter a float in the parade visit www.heathtx.com

Forney’s Independence Celebration – Saturday, July 3

The City of Forney is hosting its FREE annual Independence Day Celebration at Forney Community Park! Come enjoy an evening full of food, fun, and fireworks! They will have several local food vendors offering a variety of cuisines. Plus, there will be bounce houses. Cap off the night with a remarkable firework show!

 

Sachse’s Red, White & Blue Blast – Saturday, July 3

Sachse’s Annual Red, White & Blue Blast is back. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, July 3rd, at Heritage Park, 4408 Hudson Dr.

There will be live entertainment by the Party Machine band, food trucks, yard games, and of course, fireworks. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and bug spray! Join us for an evening of good, old-fashioned family fun.

Brick Tavern 4th of July in Sachse – Sunday, July 4

WHAT: IX Brothers MC presents the 4th of July BBQ & Bikini Bike Wash. There will be music, food, fun, and a gun raffle. Proceeds benefit Heroes Bridge Memorial Park Foundation and the #WalkTheBridge movement.
