Rockwall County Historical Foundation presents ‘Carolyn Francisco Excellence in Preservation Award’ to Sheriff’s Posse member

ROCKWALL, TX – August 19, 2021 — Rockwall’s “Cowboy Poet” Budd Pierce received the Carolyn Francisco Excellence in Preservation Award from the Rockwall County Historical Foundation during their August 2021 Sheri Stodghill Lecture.

Pierce, a member of the Rockwall County Sheriff’s Posse, also received a reproduction of the De Zavala flag – the first flag of the Republic of Texas.
