Rockwall deputy wins bout in Guns & Hoses Boxing Tournament benefitting North Texas families of fallen heroes

ROCKWALL, TX – September 16, 2021 — Area firefighters and police officers squared off in the ring for a great cause on Sept. 11 at the Guns & Hoses Boxing Tournament. The event, held at the Allen Events Center, benefits families of fallen heroes and children’s charities in North Texas.

Among those to don boxing gloves in the ring was Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Anthony Strange, who won his match! Anthony grew up in Rockwall and graduated from Rockwall High School in 2009. He joined the Sheriff’s Office in 2019. Congrats on the win, Deputy Strange!

GUNS and HOSES Foundation of North Texas is a nonprofit 501(c)3 foundation primarily committed to providing support and financial assistance to families of fallen firefighters and police officers who have lost their lives performing their duty.

GUNS and HOSES Foundation of North Texas also raises funds to benefit at-risk youth programs within our communities, and donates designated funds to additional children’s charities within the North Texas area.
