ROCKWALL, TX – October 12, 2021 — Kennedy Banuelos is a senior Varsity cheerleader at Rockwall High School, where she currently serves as the Varsity team Spirit Leader and as an elected Senior Class Officer. She is a 3x NCA All-American Cheerleader and NCA National Champion (2021). During her four years as an RHS cheerleader, she has been awarded the Leadership Award, Best Attitude, 4.0- GPA Club, Most Spirited Cheerleader, and was a Freshman head cheerleader for 2018-2019.
Since the 7th grade, Kennedy has been part of the RISD cheer program and has competed on several school competition teams at UIL and NCA competitions. Kennedy has also been a competitive cheerleader at Cheer Athletics.
Outside of cheerleading, Kennedy is active in school clubs and her community. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and has participated in PALS. Kennedy attends Lake Pointe Church and has been a VBS volunteer several times. She is also a member of the National Charity League Inc., Texas Pearl Chapter, and enjoys volunteering at various philanthropies.
Kennedy is thankful to have the love and support of her parents, Rudy and Natalie Banuelos, and her siblings, Taylor and Brooks, who attend RHS and Hamm Elementary.
In the future, Kennedy plans on attending the University of Arkansas or Texas Tech University to pursue an engineering degree.
