ROCKWALL, TX – November 29, 2021 — Deputies and officers of the Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office are getting scruffy for a great cause this month as they participate in No Shave November.
Those in the agency growing out their beards for the program have donated a minimum of $25 to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or any other approved charity to raise awareness for cancer treatment programs and those affected by it. The Sheriff’s Office has so far raised more than $1,400 for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
“Our Deputies were enthusiastic about getting involved in a worthy cause such as St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital,” said Rockwall County Sheriff Terry Garrett. “The No Shave November also turned into a bit of a camaraderie competition with our personnel. Some poking fun also took place as several were pointed out by the lighter color whiskers in their beard.”
