GARLAND, TX – February 23, 2022 — Garland ISD will close its schools and offices on Thursday, Feb. 24 due to inclement weather, and will cancel all after-school activities for Wednesday, Feb. 23 and Thursday, Feb. 24.
The district released the following message to parents:
Dear Garland ISD Families:
The safety of our students and staff is our number one priority. Due to forecasted inclement weather conditions and for the safety of our students and staff, all Garland ISD schools and offices will be closed Thursday, Feb. 24. This day will not need to be made up. All after-school activities are canceled for Wednesday, Feb. 23 and Thursday, Feb. 24.
School closures include ICON Virtual School and Remote Conferencing. Please continue to check Garland ISD’s website and social media platforms for updates. We encourage students to take home electronic devices to complete homework and assignments.
We appreciate your cooperation and patience. Please avoid any unnecessary travel in this inclement weather. Stay safe and warm.
