Women In Need Rockwall unveils new re-brand at Chocolate Indulgence event

ROCKWALL, TX – February 14, 2022 — During its Chocolate Indulgence fundraiser on Feb. 12 at Hidden Creek in Heath, Women In Need Rockwall treated guests to lots of eats, sweets and the unveiling of its new-look logo.

Folks helped themselves to the event’s main dessert signature, liquid nitrogen ice cream, while hearing all about Women In Need’s recent re-branding project. WIN Outreach and Engagement Coordinator JillAnn Gamble revealed a cardboard cutout of the organization’s new logo, along with its new tagline and mission statement.

The re-imagined logo resembles a tree sprouting tall from the ground, symbolizing the ideas behind the new tagline: “Growing towards a safer tomorrow.”

“The founders of our organization planted strong, solid seeds in rich soil, tilled the ground, watered the seeds and now they have this beautiful foundation for us to harvest,” said JillAnn Gamble, Outreach and Engagement Coordinator for WIN. “Now we need to move forward in all things new, respecting the legacy that they left behind, but also embracing what we have.”

A live and silent auction, music and a photo backdrop rounded out the entertainment for one of WIN’s biggest annual fundraisers.

As the re-crafted mission statement for WIN states, Women In Need is “a multi-faceted domestic violence agency that shelters, advocates and educates for a secure today and offers hope for a safer tomorrow.” WIN provides many services to victims of domestic violence across all of North Texas, including a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter care, legal advocacy, counseling services, preventative education, and more.
