The Goddard School opens in Rockwall

ROCKWALL, TX – April 1, 2022 — Goddard School^®, the leading premium childcare provider in the U.S., officially opened its first location in Rockwall to better serve Rockwall County and Dallas/Fort Worth area families seeking care for their young children.

As early childhood education continues to play a pivotal role in the lives of parents and their children, The Goddard School opened in Rockwall to provide parents with a high-quality option for childcare conveniently located nearby their homes. The nationally acclaimed childcare provider’s expansion into Rockwall marks the eighteenth location in the greater Dallas area, with more than 55 now in the state.

Located at 710 E Ralph Hall Parkway in Rockwall, this early childhood education center will be within walking distance of nearby housing developments and the Rochell Elementary School.

The play-based learning experience offered at The Goddard School of Rockwall uses the most current, academically endorsed methods in early childhood education to ensure that children are learning the skills they need to be successful in school and in life. This is a place where children can explore and discover music and art, learn how to communicate using sign language and develop problem solving skills through games, such as chess.

More importantly, a targeted curriculum focused on social-emotional development teaches children life skills, such as how to be kind to themselves and to others. Students at The Goddard School of Rockwall will experience Life Lesson Library, The Goddard School’s targeted curriculum built around great works of children’s literature focusing on social and emotional learning. Books featured in Life Lesson Library were carefully curated by early childhood education experts and Goddard teachers and feature relatable characters and stories used to authentically teach and connect with children.

Onsite owner Tanya Glenn and her husband Jason saw firsthand the benefits of the curriculum and structure at The Goddard School when their two children attended a location in Pennsylvania. Along with their business partners, Jessica and Shane Reese, the Glenns are excited to bring the renowned play-based learning curriculum to families in their community.

The Goddard School of Rockwall is committed to ensuring a safe, high quality learning experience and has implemented health and safety protocols such professional cleanings each night and the latest sanitization technologies. In addition to the heightened health and safety protocols Goddard Schools across the country have implemented since the start of the pandemic, this new location is using the ZONO Disinfecting and Sanitizing Cabinet to sanitize any shared materials used daily by children, such as toys and building materials.

Tanya Glenn added, “We’re committed to ensuring the safety of our families and staff amid these trying times. Along with all early childhood educators, we’ve altered our school’s health and safety guidelines to ensure our students can continue to learn in a safe environment.”

The 10,500-square-foot School is equipped with 10 classrooms to serve 178 infants, toddlers and preschooler-aged children and will add 25 teaching jobs to the area. It also features two outdoor playgrounds with state-of-the-art recreational equipment.

With its official opening, The Goddard School of Rockwall joins more than 570 franchised locations in 38 states. The school is open Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
