Sachse, TX (April 26, 2023) – “I want everyone to be able to say they were ‘on the edge of their seats.'” said Audrey Wallace, Founder and Director of 5 Loaves Food Pantry.
More tables and chairs were moved into the sold-out space at Chase Oaks Church – Woodbridge in Sachse, Texas on Friday evening as Wallace prepared to share the exciting news of the growth of 5 Loaves’ Beacon of Hope ministry, and announcement of a new building to be co-located on the property at 5 Loaves and North Point Church of Christ. “We have the land picked out and are working with the City of Sachse to discuss what the building and layout will look like.”
In conjunction with their 3rd Annual Impact for Change! online Auction, 5 Loaves hosted a dinner for nearly 200 supporters who also took part in raffles and a live auction. But the highlight of the evening was when Wallace shared the vision of 5 Loaves’ growth of a facility that houses many other nonprofits, serving the community, all under one roof. “With health care, vision and dental. Counseling for adults as well as children. To have childcare and after school programs, so when parents get out of work, they can come take classes like budgeting, and life skills they can learn in the resource center. We will feed the parents and the children because so often single parents can’t attend classes, counseling, and even get medical help they need because there is no one to help them with their child. We will have after school programs for teens as well as Mentorship programs.”, Wallace shared.
“Sachse is very fortunate to have 5 Loaves’ as a community partner. The amount of good they do for Sachse and beyond is immeasurable. We are blessed to have them as part of the community and excited about the future.”, Sachse Mayor Jeff Bickerstaff.
In addition to Event Sponsor, Chase Oaks – Woodbridge, 5 Loaves would also like to thank and recognize the Impact for Chance Category Sponsors. Without them, the entire weekend’s events and auction would not be as successful.
