Rowlett, Texas (April 26, 2023) – The Rowlett Area Chamber & Visitors Center Board of Directors voted unanimously to support and endorse all three crucial City of Rowlett Bond propositions aimed at promoting public safety, enhancing our animal services facilities, and further developing Herfurth Park. The bonds will be on the May 6th ballot.
The Board of Directors received a detailed presentation about each of the bond propositions from Deputy City manager Angie Smith at their April 19th board meeting. After much discussion the Board of Directors agreed that the bond proposals will not only benefit our community but will also serve as a catalyst for economic growth and development. The vote by the board was unanimous in their support of the bond propositions.
- Proposition A will provide funding for state-of-the-art public safety facilities, ensuring that our first responders have the resources they need to keep our community safe.
- Proposition B will fund an enhanced animal services facilities that provides better care for our furry friends, promotes responsible pet ownership, and helps find them their forever homes.
- Proposition C will transform Herfurth Park into a premier destination for outdoor recreation, with upgrades and new amenities for the whole family to enjoy.
