Rockwall, TX (June 2, 2023) – The City of Rockwall has contracted with Texas Bit, to make pavement repairs to West Interurban Street between North West Street and North Alamo Road. The repairs are scheduled to begin on Saturday, June 3, and be completed in one day “Weather Permitting.”
The street repairs will consist of removing the existing asphalt pavement followed by subgrade compaction and (HMAC) Asphalt Overlay. It is our intent to close the street to traffic during this process. Please allow additional time for your commute through the work zone. As with any roadway project, weather may impact the construction process and timelines.
During the construction we ask that no cars be parked on West Interurban Street. Please make sure that all vehicles are parked well off of the pavement to allow full roadway access to the construction equipment near the intersection of West Interurban Street and North West Street to provide additional turning radius for the trucks delivering asphalt to the site.
