Local High School Student Council Raises Funds for Wipe Out Kids Cancer through Custom Flag Sales

For the month of September, Heath High School, and other local student councils, will continue to help make a difference in the fight against Pediatric Cancer, and to help raise money for WOKC, in honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. The school that raises the most money will be announced live in October, on Good Morning Texas!

With their campaign in full swing, the student council officers hope to surpass their initial fundraising goal. “The response from the community has been overwhelming,” expressed Ella Spicer, the Student Council President.

Heath StuCo has organized flag sales online and at community gatherings. An online platform has been set up to facilitate remote purchases, allowing supporters near and far to participate in this impactful endeavor. “We wanted to create something unique that would not only raise funds, but also allow people to show their Hawk Spirit on every game day,” said Student Council Sponsor, Melissa Hatcher.
