Multi-agency active shooter exercise scheduled for Saturday, July 15

Rockwall, TX (July 14, 2023) – The Rockwall County Office of Emergency Management announces a multi-partnership, full-scale active shooter exercise will take place at Celia Hays Elementary on July 15 from 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Participating agencies include: Rowlett Emergency Management, Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office, Rockwall County Constables, Rockwall Police Department, Rockwall Fire Department, Heath Department of Public Safety, Fate Department of Public Safety, McLendon-Chisholm Fire Rescue, Rowlett Police Department, Royse City Police Department, Royse City Fire Department, Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT), Rockwall ISD, Rockwall County EMS, PHI Air Medical, Rockwall Heath CERT, Rowlett CERT, EastTex Regional CERT, and the Rockwall Police and Fire Explorers. As a result, you may see a heightened law enforcement presence in the area.
