Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce kicks off school year with annual Rockwall ISD New Teacher & Employee Welcome Expo

Rockwall, TX (August 8, 2023) – A local back-to-school tradition, the Rockwall ISD New Teacher and Employee Welcome Expo was held on August 1, 2023 with hundreds of new staff staff members, sponsors, elected officials, and board members present. The much anticipated event, whose purpose is to welcome and introduce new RISD staff members to the community, is hosted by the Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce each year with the support of area businesses.

At this year’s superhero themed event, over 400 teachers and staff members were celebrated as they embark on their career with Rockwall ISD! Recognized for the life changing work they perform, they were treated to a free breakfast with encouraging messages, door prizes, and many words of appreciation.
