Rockwall’s Becca Kelley brings home volleyball gold

Rockwall, TX (August 14, 2023) – Small town girl doing big things in the world of volleyball. Becca Kelley is a recent 2023 graduate from Rockwall High School, and was one of twelve players named to the USAV U19 National Team this summer, to go compete in the 2023 FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U19 World Championships, in Osijek, Croatia.

Becca is a 6’3″ Outside Hitter and was the District MVP from Rockwall HS the past two years. She was coached by Head Coach Travis Ferguson at Rockwall HS and she played club volleyball at Dallas Skyline the past 3 years and Excel Volleyball Club her first 3 years. In her Senior season in the fall of 2022 Becca was named to the 2022 AVCA High School All-American 1st Team. In the Spring of 2023 she was named to the JVA All-National Team recognizing the top 23 club players in the Nation for the class of 2023.
In late Spring of 2023 Becca was named to the 19 player roster for the USAV U19 Team, to go train at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, July 21st – July 28th. On July 27th Becca was named as one of the 12 traveling team members to go compete in the 2023 FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U19 World Championships, in Osijek, Croatia. From August 1 –  August 11 Team USA competed at the highest level of competition in the world under 19 years old. On August 11th, Team USA took Gold in a hard fought final battle beating Turkey 3-2. USA came from being down 0-2 and won the last 3 sets. Team USA finished the 9 match tournament undefeated and the Champions.
Becca Kelley is a genuinely kind person, a wonderful teammate, a loyal friend, a great daughter, the best sister and now a GOLD MEDAL WINNER on the International stage. Rockwall is proud to call Becca one of our own and we are all so proud of you.
