Texas Quiltworks: Celebrating 20 Years!

Rockwall, TX (August 2, 2023) – Twenty years ago, as of August 3rd, Texas Quiltworks opened its doors to the Rockwall community and beyond. Glenn Hall had recently retired from many years of working in the corporate world and he asked his wife, Judy, “What do we do now?” She stated, “Open a quilt shop.”

Judy had spent many years using her natural talent in art to creating works of art in quilts. She also had an eye for high quality materials and machines, therefore, Texas Quiltworks would only sell BERNINA Sewing Machines and Quilt Shop Only fabrics.When his wife became ill, Glenn continued running the shop. His daughter, Jennifer, even came in one day and he was preparing to teach a beginning piecing class. His sample was good, but this was when she knew she could help out!After Judy’s passing, many have asked him when he is going to retire? His response is always, “when it quits being fun!” So, in celebration of “it still being fun” for 20 years, we are celebrating during the month of August. The first celebration will be 20% off storewide August 1-5 on all fabric, patterns, kits, single fat quarters, embroidery supplies, and notions. Special pricing on machines.
