McLendon Chisholm, TX (September 20, 2023) – The glamour and glitz of New York Fashion Week got a taste of small-town charm this September, thanks to the extraordinary talents of 11-year-old Anna Girtakovska, a sixth-grader from McLendon Chisholm, Texas. Anna, who’s set on becoming a famous model and fashion designer, dazzled the runway as she showcased designs by Mila Hoffman and Willow Bean Studio.
What makes Anna’s appearance even more impressive is that it’s far from her first time strutting her stuff in the world of high fashion. This young star has graced runways at various renowned fashion events, including New York Fashion Week, Miami Swim Week, Dallas Fashion Week, Austin Fashion Week, and the Orlando Fashion Parade.
But Anna’s talents extend beyond the fashion world. She’s a dedicated piano student, honing her musical skills with grace and precision. Notably, she’s also explored her vocal abilities, having taken lessons at the Rockwall Music Academy right here in Rockwall.
One of the things that sets Anna apart is her bilingual fluency in both Russian and English. Her family’s roots trace back to Latvia, a small Baltic Region country, with her parents immigrating to the USA 22 years ago. Anna herself was born in the United States, in Colorado, before her family made their way to Texas two years ago, following her father’s career opportunities.
Anna’s journey is an inspiring testament to the pursuit of dreams, regardless of age or background. Her unique blend of talent, dedication, and cultural heritage promises a bright future in the world of fashion and the arts.
