Rockwall, TX (September 13, 2023) – Time to get out of the summer doldrums and start something new and interesting! Join Rowlett Reviews Book Club and hear an exciting story/review each month, delivered by professional Dallas area (or North Texas) speakers or reviewers.
This month’s program will be presented by Holly Stevens and is titled “Pretty Reckless”. Ms. Stevens will tell us stories filled with factual and fun information on the early women of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, including Sarah Horton Cockrell and Margaret Beeman Bryan, wives of Alex Cockrell and John Neely Bryan. Imagine some of the hardships these ladies faced, never dreaming they were making history for us to learn from and appreciate.
Our monthly meetings are held at First Christian Church of Rowlett, 7301 Miller Road, Rowlett, Texas. This month’s meeting is September 19, 2023 with refreshments and socializing beginning at 9:30 and our meeting at 10:00. Cost for non-members is $5.
