Approval of District Nomination for the Board of Directors of the Rockwall Central Appraisal District
The Board of Trustees approved nominating Vicki Wallace and Lorne Liechty as representatives for the Rockwall Central Appraisal District’s Board of Directors.
Approval of Land Purchase and the Construction-Related Financing of a Building by the Kaufman Central Appraisal District
The estimated cost for the land purchase and the construction and financing of the building is calculated for each taxing entity based upon a pro-rata of the taxing entity’s overall taxable value compared to the combined value overall. Due to Rockwall ISD having a relatively small portion of value compared to the other taxing entities in Kaufman County, the estimated annual increase in appropriations to future RISD operating budgets is approximately $7,559.00 annually.
Approval of Contract for Facilitator of the 2024 Facilities Bond Committee
The Board of Trustees approved the contract to N2Learning for facilitator services. At their September meeting, the Board of Trustees directed the Administration to form a 2024 Facilities Bond Committee comprised of parents, staff, local governments and community members for the collaborative development of recommendations to meet the demands of student enrollment growth and the capital improvement needs of the District.
