Rowlett, TX (October 9, 2023) – Kick-off your holiday season with a little music on the Downtown Green in Rowlett! Join us at noon on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 for a festive performance of live trombone music. Enjoy traditional tunes like Over the River and Through the Woods, Turkey in the Straw, and When the Saints Go Marching In. Admission to the event is FREE.
In 2023, former Arts and Humanities Commission member and Garland ISD music teacher, Hugo Martinez, approached the Rowlett Arts and Humanities Commission about creating a musical event to celebrate those who play, teach, and compose trombone music and Trombone Thanksgiving was born.
