Rockwall, TX (January 22, 2024) – Rockwall City Place will play host to a compelling seminar on January 25, 11 am to 12:30 pm, titled “The Truth About Probate for Property Owners.” This event marks the inaugural session of the Senior Living True Talk Series, a series of 90-minute seminars aimed at educating, equipping, and empowering older adults and seniors.
Led by expert panelists—an Estate Planning Attorney, Trust Officer, and an Escrow Officer—the seminar will delve into the probate process, challenges it presents, and reasons one might opt to avoid it. The discussion will extend to the realms of trusts and wills, catering to older adults, seniors, and their families seeking clarity in this complex area.
Damon Matusz, CSHP, the moderator and organizer of the True Talk Senior Living Series, brings nearly 25 years of experience working with older adults and seniors. As a Certified Senior Housing Professional (CSHP) and resident of Rockwall, Damon founded SALT DFW, LLC (Senior Adult Living Transitions), dedicated to guiding individuals through the intricate process of downsizing their living situation.
Matusz expressed his passion for helping older adults, stating, “Through my past years in healthcare as a PT and then the following years in real estate, I’ve seen a big need in this area. This seminar series is an effort to bridge the gap in knowledge and information regarding navigating the later stages of life successfully.”
The series continues with “Avoiding Homeowner Scams” on Feb 22 and “Decluttering, Liquidating, & Downsizing” on Mar 28.
