Rockwall, TX (February 20, 2024) – Rockwall Art League is excited to announce the Floral Workshop in Oil Paint on April 5th, 2024 from 9:00am to 4:00pm. The workshop will be held at Harry Myers Community Center located at 807 East Washington St. in Rockwall.
Debora Schubert Lytle is an accomplished oil painter with an extensive portfolio in portraiture and florals, landscape, and still life. She is a member of the Oil Painters of America, National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, Rockwall Art League, and American Women Artists. Cost for this workshop is $150/student.
Supply List: NOTE – The artist will be providing the 11×14 canvas, paint and reference material for this workshop.
- Brushes: Synthetic Bright or Filbert brushes sizes 2 and 6. Optional: size 4
- (Princeton Aspen brushes are the artist’s favorite.) Bristle is also fine.
- Round size 2/0 and 2.
- Fan brush size 2 or a size 4 soft hair filbert brush (various sizes)
- Narrow Mixing Palette Knife
- Solvent: Gamblin Gamsol or Turpenoid in your own container with sealed lid.
- Palette: Glass, wooden or Paper plate may be used.
- Easel, Paper Towels and gloves if you prefer them.
- Optional: wet canvas carrier
- Canvas and paint for this workshop will be provided and there will be several easels available if you do not have a convenient table top easel to bring.
*Please bring a bag lunch. There is a refrigerator and microwave at the facility.
