Rockwall High School Senior Cheer Spotlight: Taylor Banuelos

Rockwall, TX (January 7, 2024) – Taylor Banuelos is the Senior Class President of Rockwall High School (RHS) and a Captain of the RHS Varsity Cheer Team.  She is a 3x NCA All-American Cheerleader and TGCA 6A All Star Cheerleader (2022).  Taylor recently received a prestigious NCA Staff Invitation Award to join the NCA staff after graduation.

Since the 7th grade, Taylor has been part of the RISD cheer program and has competed on numerous UIL and NCA competition teams.  During Taylor’s four (4) years as a RHS cheerleader, she has been awarded the Leadership Award (3x), Most Spirited Cheerleader (3x), 4.0-GPA Club (3x), Cheerleader of the Year (2x), Highest GPA Award, and Most Community Service Hours.  Prior to her senior year, Taylor served as head cheerleader of her freshman and JV cheer teams, and RHS Varsity Junior Representative.

Outside of cheerleading, Taylor is active in school clubs and her community.  She has been elected Class President all four years of high school. Taylor is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and has participated in PALS. She is the Co- President of the 2024 Class of the National Charity League Inc., Texas Pearl Chapter, and enjoys volunteering at various philanthropies. Taylor attends Lake Pointe Church and has been a VBS volunteer and leader for several years.

Taylor is thankful to have the love and support of her parents, Rudy and Natalie Banuelos, and her siblings, Kennedy, a 2022 RHS graduate and Brooks, who attends Hamm Elementary.

In the future, Taylor plans on attending the University of Arkansas to pursue a business degree.
