Rockwall, TX (February 29, 2024) – The Rockwall High School Stingerettes Varsity Drill Team competed in the MA Dance Regional Competition at Birdville High School this past weekend where they took top honors!
The team earned Best in Class with the highest overall score of all teams at the contest. In addition, the team placed first in each of the four routines they competed; Jazz, Lyrical, Pom and Production. The team also received three Judges’ Choice Awards.
Officers also won Best in Class with the highest overall score of all officer groups at the contest; earning first place in all four of their dances. They competed in Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary and Novelty. The Officers received the Judges’ Choice Award for all four of their dances.
The Showstoppers Elite Team placed first in all four of their dances; competing in the Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Open. They also received two Judges’ Choice Awards.
Team, Officers and Showstoppers each also received a Super Sweepstakes Award, Technique Award and Choreography Award.
Hadley Daffin, placed first with her solo and Jolie Wilkerson placed fifth in the Super High School Solo Division.
The Stingerettes are back at work preparing for their final competition of the season. They have their sights set on ADTS Nationals which will take place in Denton March 22-23.
