ROCKWALL, TX (March 6, 2024) – IGT, a global gaming provider, announced today its commitment to supporting the Rockwall community through significant donations to four distinguished service organizations. The donations, totaling $30,000 worth of advanced technology, aim to enhance resources for children, students, and Veterans throughout the Rockwall Community.
The beneficiaries include:
- Rockwall County Helping Hands received a donation of $10,000 that will contribute to the establishment of IT infrastructure for its upcoming 14,000-square-foot building. Set to open in November, this facility will serve as a vital resource for the community, providing essential support to those in need.
- Patriot PAWS Service Dogs received a $10,000 donation to purchase a Catalyst One Chemistry Analyzer from IDEXX Laboratories for their Rockwall Campus Veterinary Clinic, which is essential for conducting routine lab work and performing yearly examinations of program dogs, as well as Service Dogs for disabled American Veterans, and others. The machine will also play an instrumental role in the development and success of the organization’s Purpose Breeding Program.
- Children’s Advocacy Center For Rockwall County received a $5,000 donation to support its mission of providing essential services to victims of abuse. The Center plans to allocate the funds towards a technology refresh for its staff’s computers, ensuring they can continue delivering crucial assistance to those in need.
- J.E.R. Chilton YMCA at Rockwall received a $5,000 donation that will help them support the development of both youth and families throughout the community. This contribution covers various services, including providing a year-long family membership, sponsoring a child with special needs for two weeks of Angel Camp, enabling youth to attend summer camps for learning and outdoor activities, teaching crucial water safety skills to children and toddlers and sponsoring a child for a month of participation on the YMCA Swim Team.
“IGT is proud to support these outstanding organizations that play such vital roles in the Rockwall community,” said Joseph Lapinski, IGT Account Development Manager in Texas. “We believe in the importance of investing in the well-being and future of Rockwall and hope these funds will help equip these groups with the tools they need to further their missions and positively impact individuals and families.”
“We are deeply touched by IGT’s kindness and generosity,” said Patricia Mejia, President and CEO at the Children’s Advocacy Center For Rockwall County. “Its donation will empower us to expand our reach and impact to the most vulnerable children in our community, ensuring that those suffering from the trauma of abuse receive the care and support they need and deserve.”
“Rockwall Helping Hands is overwhelmed with gratitude for IGT’s compassionate and kind donation,” said Jon Bailey, President and CEO at Rockwall Helping Hands. “This gracious donation will allow us to continue enhancing our resources towards providing essential support to those in need as we work to ensure no one in Rockwall County goes to bed hungry, without a roof overhead, or is deprived of medical care.”
“We are very grateful for IGT’s commitment to advocating for our organization in believing, wholeheartedly, in our mission to provide high-quality Service Dogs to disabled American Veterans,” said Lori Stevens, Founder and CEO of Patriot PAWS Service Dogs. “Donations like these help us place leashes in the hands of our Veterans in need, and we are incredibly thankful for IGT’s generous contributions to help us serve those who have bravely and honorably served our nation.”
“With this incredibly generous support from IGT, we will be able to provide a variety of invaluable services to children throughout our community,” said Harold Young, District Executive Director of J.E.R Chilton YMCA at Rockwall. “This donation is more than just a contribution; it’s a catalyst for positive change, enabling us to cultivate an environment where every child has the chance to thrive.”
