Rockwall High School Stingerettes see sweeping success at National Competition

Rockwall, TX (April 3, 2024) – The Rockwall High School Stingerettes Varsity Drill Team recently competed in the American Dance Drill Team Nationals in Denton where they swept the contest!

The team competed in the High School Varsity Super category. The many months of practice earned this team numerous awards including team, officers, Showstoppers elite team and JVI/RDI National Champion titles in their respective divisions.

Beyond winning their category divisions, the team and officers were named Best of the Best for earning the highest scores of any team and officer group in the entire contest. The team was also voted Most Outstanding Team at the contest and won a WOW Award in Officer Novelty, Elite Jazz and Team Production.

The seniors of this 51st line were all members of the Junior Varsity Jacket Babe squad that won the ADTS Best of the Best in 2021. These girls achieved their goal of winning the title again in the Varsity Division. Congrats to this team on all their accomplishments!

With contest season over, the Stingerettes have begun preparing for their annual Spring Show. This year’s show, “Iconic” will be held April 19 & 20 at the Rockwall High School Performing Arts Center. The Stingerettes are led by Director, Whitney Walker, and Assistant Director, Jessi Schmitt.
