Rockwall, TX (May 21, 2024) – Ashley Baumann is our next Stingerette Spotlight. She is a three-year member of the team and daughter of Melany and Kent Baumann.
Ashley is currently a Junior Varsity Instructor and New Girl Sergeant. Before being named JVI, Ashley was a Rockwall Dance Instructor where she assisted the Utley Middle School drill team last year. She is a two-year member of the Showstoppers Elite Team.
Ashley has held many titles including being a member of Hip Hop, Tap and Kick Company all three years. She was also named Miss 50 Yard Line during the 2022-2023 season. In the past three years she was awarded Star Dancer, Positive Polly, Spirit Stick and Stingerette of the Week. Known for her keen sense of humor, the team voted Ashley Most Comedic the past two years.
She danced this year at the ADTS 2023-2024 Nationals with the team; earning first place as a Super Team and Best of the Best Team overall at the contest. The team earned the Wow Award in the Production Category and was named A Wish Come True Team. They also placed second in the International Division. As a JVI, Ashley danced with the JVI/RDI squad which won a second National Champion title at the ADTS Nationals.
Ashley was a Lieutenant for the Jacket Babe JV Drill Team during her freshman year. That team also earned the title of National Champion and Best of the Best Team at ADTS Nationals in 2021.
In addition to her roles with Stingerettes, Ashley is a member of National Honor Society, Peer Assisted Leadership and Student Council.
Ashley has spent the last four years dancing with the Dance FX Studio where she is a member of their Senior Company. They won Best of the Best in the private studio division and International Champions at the ADTS Nationals in March of this year.
Ashley will attend Texas Tech University in the fall to major in Fashion Merchandising.
