Rockwall, TX (May 22, 2024) – Next up for our Stingerette Senior Spotlight is Madelyn Woodliff. Madelyn is our current Head Junior Varsity Instructor. She is the daughter of Karen and Jason Woodliff and a three-year member of the team.
Madelyn was a Junior Varsity Instructor during her junior year and has been on the Showstopper Elite Team for all three years. She is also a three-year member of the Hip Hop and Tap Company and earned a place on Kick Company the past two years. Madelyn has been recognized with the Stingerette of the Week and Positive Polly Awards.
She danced this year at the ADTS Nationals with the team; earning first place as a Super Team and Best of the Best Team overall at the contest. Both of her years as a JVI, the squad also earned a separate National Champion title at the ADTS Nationals. Madelyn and her sister, Emma Kate, also placed as First Runner Up with their duet at nationals. In addition, Madelyn was an ADTS Regional solo finalist this year and a Showtime Regionals solo finalist the previous five years.
In her freshman year, Madelyn was a Lieutenant on the Jacket Babe JV drill team. During that year, the team earned the title of National Champion and Best of the Best Team at ADTS Nationals.
She has been involved in school by participating in Peer Assistance Leadership, Interact Club, and Student Council. With Student Council, she was twice recognized with the TASC Sweepstakes Award and RISD Trustee Award. Madelyn was selected as a 2023 Homecoming Queen Nominee by her peers. She is a member of National Honor Society; graduating in the top 10% of the senior class.
Madelyn has been dancing since she was three years old; spending the last five years with the Dance FX Studio. She is currently a member of their Senior Company. The team won Best of the Best in the private studio division and first place in the International Division at the ADTS Nationals in March of this year. With this team, Madelyn performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Mariah Carey Parade Finale in 2022.
She is a six- year member of the Texas Pearl Chapter of National Charity League where she actively volunteers in the community with her mother. Together they have earned the NCL Mother-Daughter Award all six years of service. Madelyn will attend Texas A&M University to pursue a degree in Kinesiology with plans to become a Physician’s Assistant.
