Rockwall, TX (May 3, 2024) – Payton Jones is our next Stingerette Senior Spotlight. She is the daughter of Tammy and Chris Jones and a three-year member of the team. Payton currently serves on Social Council as the Communications Representative.
This year she was named Stingerette of the Week and Star Dancer of the Week. During her Junior year Payton earned a spot on Kick Company. She also received Spirit Girl of the Week as a rookie in 2021.
Payton danced on this year’s ADTS 2023-2024 National Champion Super Team and Overall Best of the Best Team. The team earned the ADTS Wow Award in the Production Category and was named A Wish Come True Team. She was also on the 2022-2023 ADTS National Champion Team Super Team which was recognized with a Rockwall ISD Trustee Award in 2023.
She participated in three trips during her time with the team; performing at Walt Disney World in 2022 and 2024. Winning Best of the Best at nationals twice and time with her friends will be Payton’s favorite memories from her time on Stingerettes.
She was a member of the Jacket Babe JV Drill Team her freshman year which earned the title of National Champion and Best of the Best Team at ADTS Nationals in 2021.
Prior to dance, Payton was a competitive baton twirler for ten years at the local, state and national level. She has also been active at Lakepointe Church, serving weekly for five years in the children’s ministry.
Payton will attend Texas Tech University in the fall to pursue a degree in Psychology.
