Rockwall, TX (June 5, 2024) – Not sure why your family member’s behaviors are changing and what to do about those changes?  Learn how dementia affects people and how to take good care of your family member and yourself. The signs of dementia begin when a family member begins repeating the same question or activity repeatedly, displays restlessness at nighttime or begins following a partner or spouse everywhere. All these behaviors may begin in a subtle manner, and then they become undeniable. It is vital that the caregiver begins to understand the illness so they can support their loved one and begin to define the new normal that feels so foreign.

Caregiving for a family member can be a challenging journey, both for the person(s) being cared for and the person(s) giving care. However, with the right support, this journey can be made more manageable. Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall County (MOWSS) is here to partner with you. We collaborate with the North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging to provide caregiver support, guiding caregivers and seniors through all stages of life and preparation, and offering a lifeline to relieve anxiety.
