Rockwall High School Senior Stingerette: Jolie Wilkerson

Rockwall, TX (June 3, 2024) – Our final Stingerette Senior Spotlight is our Captain, Jolie Wilkerson. Jolie is the daughter of Lori and Brian Wilkerson and a three-year member of the team. Jolie is also the 2023-2024 Miss High Kick.

As a junior, Jolie was a Lieutenant on the officer line. She has been a member of the Showstopper Elite Team, Kick Company, Hip Hop Company and Tap Company all three years. She has received the weekly awards of Miss Standout Strut and Positive Polly.

Jolie was among the Top Five at varsity line tryouts in 2021 and was voted Best Jazz Dancer and Most Outstanding Performer in 2022 and 2023. She also earned the title of Most Outstanding Turns for two years. At Stingerette Salute in May, Jolie was voted Most Outstanding Teacher and Greatest Leadership.

She danced this year at the ADTS 2023-2024 Nationals with the team: earning first place as a Super Team and Best of the Best Team overall at the contest. The team also placed second in the International Division. They received special recognition with the Wow Award for their New York Christmas production entry and were named a Wish Come True Team. She also danced with the officers and Showstoppers Elite Team at nationals where they earned National Champion and Best of the Best in each of those categories. The team was recognized with the RISD Board of Trustees Award for the second year in a row for their accomplishments at ADTS Nationals.

Jolie also danced with the officers and Showstoppers Elite Team which also won National Champion and Best of the Best titles at the ADTS Nationals. In addition, both groups won first place and achieved Best of the Best at the MA Regionals this year.

As a soloist, Jolie has four National Champion titles to her credit: in the Junior Studio Division and Large Highschool Division in 2022, and the Senior Studio Division in 2023 and 2024. She is also a Circle of Champions Member for being amongst the Top Five scoring solos at ADTS Nationals in 2023 and 2024. She has also earned Showtime Solo Champion titles twice and MA Solo Champion titles the past three years. Jolie has won numerous additional regional competition awards with ADTS, Showtime and MA Dance during the past four years.

As a member of the JV Jacket Babe Drill Team, Jolie served as Captain and was named Officer of the Year. The team placed first at the ADTS Nationals in 2021, earning a National Champion title and Best of the Best for the team and officers.

Outside of dance, Jolie is a member of the National Honor Society and a five-year member of National Charity League Texas Pearl Chapter with her mother.

Jolie has danced with the Dance FX Studio for the past five years where she is currently on the Senior Company team. This team won first place and Best of the Best in the private studio division at the ADTS Nationals in March of this year. They also placed first in the International Division. In 2022, Jolie danced with the studio at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade where she was also a featured dancer in the Mariah Carey televised finale of the parade.

Jolie will attend Baylor University in the fall to pursue a degree in Marketing and will be dancing as a Baylor Songleader.
