DFW swim teams show impressive results at Annual YMCA Lone Star Swim Meet

Dallas, TX (July 31, 2024) – YMCAs throughout the state of Texas recently took to the pool for the annual Lone Star 2024 swim meet. Held July 18-21 in Lewisville, the Lone Star State contest hosted seventeen teams from across the state in a vigorous competition.

With swimmers ranging in age broken down by division, smaller and larger teams compete in a variety of individual swims and relays including freestyle, butterfly, and breaststroke, amongst others.

Roaring cheers took over the natatorium as results were announced, which included multiple personal best records. Perhaps the excitement held dreams that someday a swimmer present would join the ranks of other Olympic swimmers from Texas – including 7-time medalist, Dana Vollmer, or this year’s 2024 Olympic team members David Johnston, Simone Manuel, and Shaine Casas.
