Record number of Rockwall ISD students earn national honors from College Board

Rockwall, TX (August 30, 2024) – Seventy-five Rockwall ISD high school students have earned national recognition from the College Board for their high performance on the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) or Advanced Placement (AP) Exams. This marks the highest number of students from Rockwall ISD to be recognized by the College Board in a single school year.

Students from Rockwall High School and Rockwall-Heath High School received these honors by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) in October 2023, by taking AP Exams in May of 2024, and by meeting the score requirements for these awards.

The College Board Recognition Program acknowledges the academic achievements of African American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, Indigenous/Native American, and new in 2024, first-generation students. These awards provide students with academic honors that can be included in college and scholarship applications.
