Tigers get their turn in the dentist’s chair

Peter Emily International Veterinary Dental Foundation on-site to provide needed dental check-ups and procedures to tigers.

Wylie, TX (August 6, 2024) – Members of the Peter Emily International Dental Foundation (PEIVDF) will be on-site at In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Educational Center on Saturday, August 10th providing needed check-ups and dental work to four tigers, Kali, Holiday, Kabul, and Pasha and one lion, Rafiki.

“Dental work for big cats is a necessary part of their health, but a trip to the dentist for these cats is even more tricky and expensive than a human’s trip to the dentist. Without the expertise and generosity of the great team at the Peter Emily Foundation, it would be much harder to make sure our cats get the dental care they need. We’re really thankful to them for their hard work and dedication,” said Vicky Keahey, President, and Founder of In-Sync Exotics.

The dentists, veterinarians, and technicians of PEIVDF come from all over the United States and volunteer their time, expertise, and supplies to provide dental care to animals in sanctuaries who would not have access to expensive dental care otherwise. The foundation was established in 2008, and provides life improving advanced veterinary dental care & treatment to US and overseas captive animal facilities & animal sanctuaries.
