Leadership Rockwall is a 9-month, Rockwall County-focused community leadership program designed to develop the skills leaders need to excel. The program includes a combination of in-depth seminars and team building exercises designed to each participant’s leadership approaches.

Participants are immersed in monthly full-day class sessions throughout Rockwall County featuring guest speakers, hands-on experiences, tours and relationship building opportunities. The goal of each class day is to challenge thinking and inspire participants to get involved in their community. The program also provides a unique opportunity for class members to bond with lifelong friends and potential mentors.

At the start of this dynamic 9-month program, participants are tasked with identifying a Rockwall County-related issue, program, or project that needs attention. After careful review and approval of the project, the class then works as a team to plan and execute it to completion. Past community projects include the development of the dog park at Harry Myers Park, the remodeling of the Meals on Wheels building and office space, and the renovation of The Meadows affordable housing community.
