- Open Space Preservation
The vision of the County’s Strategic Plan is to create a place where families flourish by providing a higher quality of life that is welcoming, resilient, and safe by incorporating livable and innovative growth, conservation of our open spaces, and effective use of our natural resources and history.
Our next public forum for the Strategic Plan will be at the County Courthouse on Yellowjacket Lane in Liberty Hall from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday, September 25th. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. We encourage all residents to attend and bring fellow county residents.
Our county is experiencing rapid and sustained growth, which brings long-term opportunities and challenges. This requires us to develop smart solutions that will shape the future of Rockwall County. We are acting strategically and purposefully, to identify opportunities and challenges, and create a dynamic plan for success. By doing so, we can shape and influence the quality of life, economic vitality, purposeful design, and civic richness for all Rockwall County residents, businesses, and visitors for the next 25 years.
We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting!
