Rockwall County Genealogical Society presents “Search vs Research” by Barbara Coakley

Rockwall County, TX (September 30, 2024) – Rockwall County Genealogical Society (RCGS) will meet Thursday, October 3rd at 6:00PM in the Genealogy Room of the Rockwall County Library.

For October’s meeting, RCGS will be joined by professional speaker Barbara Coakley. Barbara will be presenting the topic “Search vs Research.” Searching is just one step in the research process. A case study based on a family story from Chicago in the 1920s demonstrates the research process from beginning to end – how to develop a research goal, plan the research, document results, and preserve your findings.

Meetings are open to the public, welcoming all that have a desire to research and learn about the various techniques to filling in the blanks in their ancestral tree. For any questions feel free to email RCGS Vice President, Jeff Lowe, at jeff@txlowe.net
