Rockwall, TX (October 18, 2024) – The Texas Health Resources Foundation is honored to be a beneficiary of the Cissi Scott Foundation, in memory of the long-time resident of Rockwall County. Cissi’s family created the foundation in memory of their mom, who battled breast cancer for 27 years before passing away in 2020. Today, her legacy is helping other residents receive lifesaving health screenings.
Through generous donations from supporters and the Cissi Scott Foundation, the Texas Health Resources Foundation offers prevention and early detection programs to underserved women in Rockwall County and Kaufman County. With this support, the Texas Health Resources Foundation’s Wellness for Life Mobile Health program can help more women receive critical mammograms, breast diagnostics, well-woman exams, cervical cancer screenings, colon cancer screenings, and cardiovascular risk assessments.
A Wellness for Life Cocktail Reception will be held on December 3, 2024 to show appreciation to donors. Donate online to help other women in the community, and make plans to attend the reception in December.
