Rockwall, TX (November 27, 2024) – Congratulations to longtime, local residents Roland and Barbara Ruble who are celebrating 70 years of wedded bless. They were married in Lowell, Indiana on Nov. 27, 1954 and have been calling Rockwall home since 1998.
The Rubles have three children, six grandchildren, and have enjoyed many travels throughout their marriage. Barbara attained the Master Gardener designation; her yards at their different homes were proof of such.
Roland has written a book titled, “Stories I Never Got to Tell” and enjoys reading. His career advancement led the family on many moves throughout the country – 15 to be exact.
The couple attributes their successful decades of marriage to the following; for Roland, it was focusing on his wife and family through the many decades; according to Barbara, it is nodding your head to your spouse so that they think they are right, especially if you marry a redhead. Humor has always been a big part of the Rubles’ marriage and family.
