Rockwall High School receives College Board AP School Honor Roll achievement

Rockwall, TX (November 13, 2024) – For the second consecutive year, Rockwall High School has received the Silver level of distinction for the College Board AP School Honor Roll.

To be recognized on the AP School Honor Roll, a school must meet the following criteria, which are based on research linking AP participation to college success:
• College Culture: 40% or more of the graduating cohort took at least one AP Exam during high school.
• College Credit: 25% or more of the graduating cohort scored a 3 or higher on at least one AP Exam.
• College Optimization: 2% or more of the graduating cohort took five or more AP Exams, with at least one exam taken in 9th or 10th grade to encourage AP participation across multiple years.

Rockwall High School had 51% of seniors who took at least one AP exam during high school, 35% of seniors scoring a three or higher on at least one AP exam in high school, 12% of seniors took five or more AP tests while in high school, and 240 RHS students earned AP Scholar Awards in 2024. There are currently 24 AP courses taught and 25 AP teachers at Rockwall High School.
