Rockwall, TX (January 14, 2025) – The City of Rockwall is preparing for the upcoming City Council General Election, scheduled for Saturday, May 3, 2025, for the purpose of electing three City Councilmembers – one each for Places 1, 3, 5, and Mayor. Terms for all elected City Councilmembers are for a period of two years. This is an opportunity for community members who are passionate about Rockwall to step forward and serve. City Council responsibilities include providing responsible leadership, assisting with legislation and policy, and engaging with residents to ensure the city’s continued success in delivering a safe environment and high quality of life.
Candidate Filing Information
Residents interested in running for a position on the City Council may file their candidacy during the following period:
Start Date: Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 8:00 AM.
End Date: Friday, February 14, 2025, at 5:00 PM.
