Rockwall, TX (January 7, 2025) – Calling all chili experts! Get ready to join supporters of the Rainbow Room of Rockwall County in a tasty event for a worthy cause!
Got a great chili recipe? Want to share your creation? This cook-off is for you! And you can help local children at the same time! The Rainbow Room 1st Annual Chili Challenge for Children is planned for January 25 at Divine Peace Church.
The Rainbow Room serves young victims of abuse or neglect throughout Rockwall County by providing for their immediate needs. Often when children are removed from the situation, they leave with only what is on their back. Your support of Rainbow Room makes a difference by providing clothing, diapers, formula, school supplies, and other important necessities that can give them a sense of relief. For school age children, this can mean they are able to continue their normal school day without additional worry. For younger children, those who take them in can do so with items they might not otherwise have available.
Come on chefs! Bring the flavor – make it spicy or mind, with beans or not, white or red – and let’s see who the best chili chef is!
Sponsorships are available and needed to carry out the mission of the Rainbow Room. The Chili Cook-off is a hot way to share information about your business and your support of our community, as we help turn sadness into hope for young victims in need.
