Rockwall County Library brings financial literacy to families

Rockwall, TX (January 7, 2025) – Rockwall County Library has received a grant from the American Library Association to host a financial literacy series for children and families.  Thinking Money for Kids offers school age children (5 years and up) a way to learn about important financial topics in child friendly ways.

Thinking Money for Kids brings children and their families together to discuss financial literacy and educate everyone on the value of money. Topics include spending, saving, making choices between “needs” and “wants,” and learning how to identify coins and bills.  The program creates fun and engaging games and crafts to teach children and families about the different ways we use and interact with money, and how it impacts our everyday life.

January’s financial literacy program will be a fun family game night on Thursday, January 23rd from 4:30-5:30 p.m.  It will be a come and go event for ages 5 and up with games and crafts. All are invited!
