Rockwall, TX (January 6, 2025) – The Rockwall County Library is excited to present World War II trunks from The National WWII Museum of New Orleans with real WWII artifacts. Each trunk offers a theme such as “Homefront,” (articles from the U.S. during WWII), “Europe Operation,” (artifacts from Europe during WWII), and “Tactile” (artifacts that can be handled by patrons) trunks. The library will have all three trunks to share with the Rockwall County community on Tuesday, January 14 with two programs at 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Historian experts from the Nimitz Foundation educational department in Fredericksburg, TX will present the trunks. They are also bringing real WWII artifacts from the National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg. We feel honored to have these educators and experts join us to present these amazing artifacts! We hope to have many community members and families attend our program and learn about the significant impact our soldiers made to our country and the world through their service.
