Rockwall Kiwanis to pack the 50,000th Food for Kids bag This January

Rockwall, TX (January 2, 2025) – This January marks an incredible milestone for the Rockwall Kiwanis Food for Kids program—our 50,000th food bag packed! Over the years, this initiative has provided essential weekend meals for children in need throughout Rockwall County, ensuring no child goes hungry when school meals aren’t available.

This achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our community. From generous donations to dedicated volunteers who pack the bags each month, every contribution has made a tangible difference in the lives of local kids. The program currently provides over 600 food bags monthly, thanks to the compassion and hard work of people like you.

We invite you to celebrate this exciting milestone with us on Tuesday, January 14th, at Divine Peace Church in Rockwall at noon. Join our volunteers as we pack food bags and commemorate this momentous occasion. It’s a perfect opportunity to witness the power of community, meet like-minded individuals, and learn how you can contribute to this meaningful cause. https://www.facebook.com/share/LVFPy4TScjcQZf2v/

Whether it’s through donating to our Amazon Wishlist (https://shorturl.at/ZWrEo), volunteering your time, or spreading the word about the program, every effort counts. Together, we can continue to fight hunger and bring hope to children in need.

Mark your calendars and come out to celebrate with us on January 14th. Let’s make the next 50,000 bags happen, one meal at a time.
