ARLINGTON, TX (February 18, 2025) – Texas Health Resources has been named one of America’s Best Large Employers by Forbes – ranking No. 100 out of 701 organizations recognized nationwide.
“Texas Health is consistently recognized as one of the best organizations to work for in the country, thanks to the commitment and compassion of our employees,” said Barclay Berdan, FACHE, Texas Health’s CEO. “We have created an environment that enables team members to feel they belong while having opportunities to do their life’s best work.”
Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to produce the 10th-anniversary edition of America’s Best Large Employers. The annual rankings were based primarily on survey responses from more than 217,000 employees at U.S. companies that employ more than 1,000 people. Companies with more than 5,000 employees were considered for the large employer category.
“We are proud to be recognized for building and sustaining an organization that promotes the successes and best work of our team members as we serve our communities,” said Carla Dawson, chief people officer at Texas Health. “We are continually working to implement programs that uplift the mind, body and spirit, so employees can thrive.”
Texas Health employees have access to a variety of health and wellness programs that help them achieve a balanced life. Employees also can enroll in a generous 401(k) program with company match and get paid time off both for personal use and to volunteer in their communities.
Employees also are encouraged to speak up, share best practices and contribute ideas when there are opportunities to improve.
Texas Health earned several high-profile workplace awards in 2024. The organization ranked No. 29 on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For® list – the highest among health systems recognized in 2024. Texas Health ranked No. 3 on Fortune’s Best Workplaces in Texas™ list — the highest healthcare system and North Texas-based organization to receive this recognition. The system was also among Fortune’s Best Workplaces for Women™.
Last August, Texas Health was named to the 2024 Companies That Care® list by People magazine and Great Place to Work®. Texas Health also was listed among America’s Greatest Workplaces for 2024, earning five stars — the highest rating presented by Newsweek and the data firm Plant-A Insights Group for organizations with 5,000-plus employees.
