Rockwall Philharmonic kicks off Concert by the Lake series on May 1

Rockwall, TX (April 21, 2025) – Thursday nights this summer will be extra special in Rockwall as the city presents its annual Concert by the Lake series. Held at The Harbor between 7 and 9 p.m. each week from May through July, the concerts feature a wide assortment of musical artists. Opening the series on May 1 is the Rockwall Philharmonic Orchestra, which will perform a Dinosaurs and Dragons at the Lake-themed concert. The performance will feature familiar music from Jurassic ParkLord of the RingsGame of ThronesHow to Train Your Dragon and more. Come in costume or cosplay or come as you are to this family-friendly event.

Widely recognized as one of the greatest live music cities in Texas, Rockwall has been named the “Free Live Music Capital of North Texas”. Through the years, Rockwall has hosted more than 200 different bands at Concert by the Lake.

The free concerts take place on the Amphitheater Stage at The Harbor, 2059 Summer Lee Drive, on the shores of beautiful Lake Ray Hubbard. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, picnics and beverages. Rockwall restaurants provide a variety of food choices. Concerts take place unless there is rain or severe weather at showtime; however, the start of a show can be delayed if it appears rain will stop soon. Check the Rockwall Parks Facebook page for updates.

One of the best things about Concert by the Lake is that you can experience the shows from land or from water: Scores of boats will fill the Rockwall Harbor enjoying the sounds of the summer concerts.
